I have figured out the problem with America today. The governement doesn not fear its people anymore; it is run by the will of big business and not by what is best for the people. The war in Iraq is not about freedom it is about oil so that the US oil companies can control the worlds supply and the governement can make money off of it. The war in Iraq is not about freedom; it is about giving Jp Halliburton an excuse to produce millions of dollars of goods. We should not argue that peace should come and pull out of Iraq because we are committed. We have already lost the love of one half of the world, and cannot lose another. The government has succeeded in creating the least intelligent generation through the medium of television. People are more concerned about who will get kicked off the next American Idol than who they will elect to make descisions for them for the next four years. The seperation of church and state is more like a small gap, and dont give me bullshit about how our founding fathers based the government on Christian ideals. The founders wanted a government by the people, for the people wether the people were Jews, Muslims, Or anything else. If you want proof; the word goddam must now be bleeped out on TV, whereas we can hear bitch and ass all we want. As long as the american public is this apathetic, our government will make as many horrible descisions as they want; just like this one-whether the government be republican (which only cares about big business and catholicism) or democrat (who are so liberal that they would allow stanists to display dead bodies during the holidays if they complained enough).
